"PHANTASMAGORIA" by Alexander Kanevsky Giant figures of Tolstoy, Goethe and Michelangelo - the symbolic archetypical images of intrapsychic conversions of the same person, the main charachter of Kanevsky's Novel "Phantasmagoria" based on which the painting was made in 1994 in Philadelphia, being the first of Alexander's 8 x 4 feet visual masterpieces. Phantasmagoria is also mentioned in works of Salvador Dali, Franz Kafka, and John Goldsworthy and others.
