WORLD POLITICAL AND CULTURQL LEADERS UPLAUD KANEVSKY REIMAGENING CLASSICS AS HE IS COMPLETING JANUARY 2021 SERIES "RAPHAEL WOMEN" "NOONE NOWDAYS BELEIVED POSSIBLE TO RE IMAGINE CLASSUCS, THE BEST OF CLASSICS, AND IN SOME WAY EVEN TO PERFECT IT" * ALEXANDER KANEVSKY PAUNTING "CONSOLER" (2021, oil on wood, 122 x 61 cm) Alexander: "This is the third painting of the "Raphael’s Women Series" , inspired by the axillary figure of Raphael’s " Sistine Madonna " of which I always was fascinated, more so than with the Madonna herself. What fascinated me is a juxtaposition of the figure’s arm and head. The rest of the figure, fully garmented, I reimagined using my knowledge of anatomy and plasticity of motion, so I also changed the position of the woman’s legs in relationship to the rest of her body. The Raphael’s figure's neck is longer, giving the unadulterated charm and elegance to Raphael’s figures unmatched to anyone else, so I left this prerogative to the Great Master and deliberately did not elaborate on its originality” "RAPHAEL'S WOMEN" SERIES INCUDES "CONSOLER", "ANGEL" AND "JUDGE" (RENAMED FROM "SIBYL")
